When a animal appears on our webpage and is adoptable there are a few steps we go through to make sure that we are adopting the animal to the right family, and a family that will take excellent care of the pet.
You must fill out an adoption application before you meet and adopt the kitty your interested in. However, once you do meet the kitty if you do not feel the cat would make a good fit in your home your under NO obligation to proceed with the adoption. We require an adoption application to be filled out first, as sometimes an application can be denied for various reasons.
We review all applications ASAP. Please give us a day or two before you contact us, we ensure that all applications will be reviewed in a timely manner and we will let you know the outcome. We contact the applicant BEFORE checking references and processing the application.
We do ask for 2 personal references and a vet reference (if you have one, if not we ask that you at least have one or two in mind).We do CALL those references and ask a few questions. Our adoption application can be found to the left of the page under FORMS/APPS.
